The National Association of REALTORS® has announced it will be launching a new top-level internet domain, .realestate, later this year. The new domain will be available to members of NAR starting in September, and then offered to the general public in late November.
Real estate professionals and firms will be able to market properties, geographic areas, and their personal brands using the .realestate web address. NAR members who already have an active .realtor domain will be eligible to participate in a presale of the .realestate domain on Sept. 18.
The .realtor domain is available only to NAR members and affiliated REALTOR® organizations and businesses. However, the .realestate top-level domain will be made available to the general public in November, following the presale, NAR says.
“NAR is thrilled to launch our second top-level domain, .realestate, to help real estate professionals and businesses better connect with home buyers, sellers, investors, and owners, and remain essential to every real estate transaction,” says NAR President Elizabeth Mendenhall. “Making use of this pioneering technology will help them to market themselves and their listings, services, or resources in new and creative ways.”
